The Muncie GA and the GM series, clutch shift PTOs designed with GM for the Allison 1000, 2000 and 2400 series transmissions. These PTOs are specifically for use on the 2001 and newer GM 3600 series trucks. Both models are the same PTO unit. The difference is in the shifting and mounting kits. The GM model requires the use of special solenoid and hydraulic pump tubing as well as heat shields for the PTO and hydraulic pump.
Both the GA and GM use a remote mount solenoid and shortened bearing cover to keep the PTO as small as possible.
